3.1 Withdrawal

You retain the right to withdraw from any tuition slots by communicating via email to [email protected] within 14 days of submitting an online or manual application form, without the necessity of providing a reason. Please note that withdrawals via text messages, Facebook messages, or simple phone calls will not be considered valid. After the lapse of this 14-day period, no withdrawals will be feasible, and the following terms and conditions will govern:

3.2 Cancellation and Rescheduling

Cancellation or alteration of the booked slots must be conveyed at least 48 hours before the scheduled lesson(s) date by sending an email to [email protected]. Rescheduling of such slots will be accommodated to a mutually agreeable date and time within the same or subsequent week. In instances of unforeseen illness before a scheduled slot, submission of a scanned medical certificate to [email protected] is mandatory to facilitate rescheduling of the lesson. It's imperative to note that cancellations communicated via text messages, Facebook messages, or simple phone calls will not be considered valid. Failure to adhere to this procedure will result in invoicing for unattended slots.

3.3 Termination

Should you wish to terminate the entire slots for any reason, you are required to notify us at least 3 weeks in advance by sending an email to [email protected]. Please note that termination requests conveyed via text messages, Facebook messages, or simple phone calls will not be acknowledged. Additionally, you are obligated to settle payments for any lessons within those three weeks from the notification of termination, irrespective of attendance. If the scheduled slots do not fall within the 3-week period, the computation will consider the weeks when tuition was booked.

In case of termination, it's crucial to notify us at least 3 weeks in advance via email at [email protected]. Please note that termination requests conveyed via text messages, Facebook messages, or simple phone calls will not be acknowledged. Moreover, you are responsible for settling payments for any lessons within those three weeks from the notification of termination, regardless of attendance. If the scheduled slots do not fall within the 3-week period, the computation will consider the weeks when tuition was initially booked.

3.3.1 Late Payment Fees

Failure to settle payment within 10 working days from the due date of the invoice will incur an additional EUR 25 administration fee.

Should the three-week notification period lessons fall within the period following the full payment, only then will the remaining lessons be conducted. If this time period has elapsed, those remaining lessons will be forfeited.

3.4 Payment Issues

Should your payment be flagged by a financial institution, we reserve the right to delay the course start until the payment is cleared.

3.5 Refunds

Requests for refunds will incur a 10% surcharge and administrative costs retained by Tuition Services Malta. Refund requests are only accepted within the 14-day cancellation period following the initial date of application. After this period, the 3-week obligation payment cannot be refunded.

3.6 Non-payment

Failure to pay for the subsequent minimum 3-week period by the last paid day of tuition will result in the discontinuation of lessons and access denial to notes, group chats, or tutors. Lessons will be provided according to clause 3.3.4. No refunds will be applicable under such circumstances.

3.7 Special Offers

In cases where tuition involves any percentage-based offer (e.g., MATSEC, SEP, REV, OCT, or any other offer explicitly outlined in an email), payments made are non-refundable and offers operate on an annual basis. Clauses 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3 are inapplicable. Clause 3.3 in this scenario is solely applicable for further sessions to be undertaken.

4. In-Home Tuition

4.1 Parent/Guardian Responsibility

In instances of in-home tuition involving students below 18 years of age, a parent or guardian must be present on the premises throughout the session. Tutors are entitled to leave immediately if they feel uncomfortable, and students or guardians reserve the right to request the tutor to leave if they are uncomfortable. Smoking, drug or medication use, or any form of disrespect during lessons is strictly prohibited. Payments should be directed solely to Tuition Services Malta, and any discussion of payments with tutors is prohibited. Tutors are not authorized to request payment from students, and any such incident should be reported immediately. Booking additional slots must be coordinated directly with Tuition Services Malta. If no communication is received from the student, Tuition Services Malta will assume that sessions will continue until a cancellation notice is received.

5. Course Tuition

5.1 Minimum Student Requirement

Group courses will only be provided if a minimum of 2 students is met, unless otherwise agreed upon. In cases where a discount is provided to a group of students, transferring into different groups or altering the course to a one-to-one basis will not be permissible for this group of students.

6. Failure to Attend Sessions

6.1 Missed Sessions

Failure to attend any pre-paid session without prior notification as stipulated in section 3.2 will not obligate us to provide the session in an alternate form, such as a recording. The tutor may, at their discretion, provide feedback or notes from the missed session via email.

7. Applicable Law

Your use of this website and any dispute arising from such use are subject to the laws of Malta.

8. Tutor Changes

For in-home, online, or in-premises tuition, we reserve the right to alter the assigned tutor during the course, ensuring the continuation of the syllabus.
