1.1 The term 'Tuition Services Malta' or 'us' or 'we' refers to the owner of the website. The term 'you' refers to the user or viewer of our website.

1.4 Neither we nor any third parties provide any warranty or guarantee as to the accuracy, timeliness, performance, completeness or suitability of the information and materials found or offered on this website for any particular purpose. You acknowledge that such information and materials may contain inaccuracies or errors and we expressly exclude liability for any such inaccuracies or errors to the fullest extent permitted by law.

2.0 For students / parents:

2.1: You have the right to withdraw from any tuition slots by sending us an email on [email protected] within 14 days of sending us an online or manual application form, without giving any reason whatsoever. Text messages, Facebook messages or simple phone calls will not be considered as withdrawals. After the period of 14 days expires no withdrawal will be possible and the following terms and conditions below will apply:

2.2 Cancellation or moving of the booked slots has to be made at least 48 hours before the date of such lesson or lessons by sending an email on [email protected]. Such slot will be moved to a mutually convenient date and time, within that same week or else, the week after. If however one is unexpectedly sick before a slot, a scanned medical certificate to [email protected] is required in order to move such lesson to another date or time. In case of one-to-one slots, these will be replaced with a slot on Skype. Text messages, Facebook messages or simple phone calls will not be considered as cancellations. Without the above procedure any unattended slots shall still be invoiced and be due or if already paid shall not be refunded. Note that extra slots requested by a student outside the normal set of slots, cannot be cancelled.

2.3 If one intends terminating the full slots, for whatever reason, one is to notify us 3 weeks in advance by sending us an email on [email protected]. Text messages, Facebook messages or simple phone calls will not be considered as termination requests. One is moreover bound to pay for any lessons within those three weeks from notification of termination, whether one attends for such slots or not. Should the slots not be within the 3 week period, the 3 week period would take into consideration the weeks when tuition was booked for.

2.3.1 Failure to settle payment within 10 working days from due date of invoice, whether this is for a lesson taken and not paid for yet (on teacher's good will) or else within the 3 weeks notification not settle, this will incur an additional EUR 25 administration fee. 

2.3.2 Failure to settle payment within 20 working days from due date of invoice, whether this is for a lesson taken and not paid for yet (on teacher's good will) or else within the 3 weeks notification not settle, this will incur an additional EUR 50 administration fee. 

2.3.3 Failure to settle payment within 30 working days from due date of invoice, whether this is for a lesson taken and not paid for yet (on teacher's good will) or else within the 3 weeks notification not settle, interest at 8% will be incurred on the amount due. 

2.3.4 Should the three week notification period lessons still fall within the period following the full payment, only then will the remaining lessons will be given. If the time period has elapsed, these will be lost.

2.4 Should payment be flagged by a financial institution, we reserve the right to delay the course start, until the payment is cleared.

2.5 Any refund requested, will be bound to a 10% surcharge, and administrative costs retained by Tuition Services Malta. This can only be requested if the student is within the 14 day cancellation period following the initial date of application. Following this period, the 3-week period obligation payment, cannot be refunded.

2.6 Should a student fail to pay for the next minimum 3-week period, by the last paid day of tuition, no lesson will be provided. Access to any notes, group chats or tutor will not removed.  Lessons will be provided according to clause 2.3.4. No refund is applicable. Should student still be given lesson, and payment is not yet settled, this adheres with clause 2.3.

2.7 In the eventuality that tuition is availing of any percentage off offer (such as the MATSEC, SEP, REV, OCT, or any other offer clearly outlined in an email) offers run on a yearly basis, payment carried out is non-refundable. Clauses 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 are void. 2.3 in this case is only applicable for further sessions to be taken up. 

3.0 In-Home Tuition

3.1 In the case of in-home tuition, should a student be younger than 18 years of age, a parent or guardian will need to be respeonsible and present in the premises at all times. Should tutors feel uncomfortable at any time, they should leav the premises immediately. Should the student / guardian feel uncomfortable with the tutor, they should are responsible to ask the tutor to leave immediately too. At no point of the lesson should tutor, student and/or guardian be smoking, using any drugs or medication or showing any disrespect, whether personal or cultural. Payments are to be solely carried out with Tuition Services Malta and any discussion of payments is prohibted with the tutors. Tutors are at no point allowed to ask for any payment from students and students are to disclose such to use immediately, if this occurs. Moreover, booking of further slots, is to be discussed with Tuition Services Malta. Should no communication be carried out from the student's end, Tuition Services Malta will assume that sessions will continue running, until a cancellation email is received.

4.0 Course Tuition

4.1 Unless agreed upon, our courses will not be provided unless there is a minimum of 2 students. In the case of a discount provided to a group of students, this group of students will be unable to transfer into different groups or take the course on a one-to-one basis. 

5.0 Failure to attend sessions

5.1 Failure to attend any session already paid for, without any notification as outlined above 'Cancellation or moving of the booked slots has to be made at least 48 hours before the date of such lesson or lessons by sending an email on [email protected]. Such slot will be moved to a mutually convenient date and time, within that same week or else, the week after. ', will not bind us to provide the session in the form of a recording or else via any other means. It is to the discretion of the tutor to provide any feedback or notes of the missed session via email.

6.0 Your use of this website and any dispute arising out of such use of the website is subject to the laws of Malta.

7.0 In the case of both in-home, online or in-premises tuition, we reserve the right change the tutor during the course. Continuation of syllabus is guaranteed.

8.0 Tuition booked and paid for is non-transferable to another student.
